Bill Payment

What is SBM's e-PAY service?

SBM's e-PAY is a service that allows you to 'see and pay' various bills over SBM Internet Banking, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Instead of using a cheque or standing in queues, you can pay the biller directly from your SBM account using the e-PAY service.

You can also set up your payment instructions for a later date. Payments will be processed on those scheduled dates and sent to your billers. You can also set up AutoPay instructions for your bills and specify an upper limit for payments. Bills within this specified limit will get automatically processed for payment whenever they are due.

The e-PAY service is available in various cities across the country and you can now make payments to several billers in your region. To see the complete list of billers to whom you can make payments and to read the Frequently Asked Questions in respect of these billers click here.

Who can I pay using SBM e-PAY?

Using e-PAY you can pay bills of various Electricity, Telephone, Mobile, Credit Card, Gas and Insurance companies. You can pay the bills of the billers that you have registered for with the Bank using Internet Banking or by submitting the e-PAY Registration Form at the branch.

Billers you can pay using e-PAY fall under three categories:

View and Pay Bill - In case of such billers, the bills can be viewed at www.OnlineSBM.com before payment. This will be in addition to the paper bills received by you. You need to add each biller in respect of whom you want to avail of the e-PAY facility. The bills will be presented to you from the next billing cycle and you can make payments through e-PAY against such electronic bills (eg MTNL Mumbai, LIC).

Pay Bill - These are billers who present bills only in the paper format, and hence no bills will be presented at www.OnlineSBM.com. However, such billers accept payments electronically. You can therefore make payments immediately to such billers after you have added them online to your biller list. In such cases it is advisable that you keep your bill handy while making payments on www.OnlineSBM.com (eg Hutch Delhi, RPG Cellular Chennai).

Payment Only - These are entities who do not normally raise bills, but directly accept payments (eg charities - CRY, Trusts - Siddhivinayak Temple). You can therefore make payments immediately to such entities after you have added them to your biller list.
